perform a thorough consultation for best results. A patch test and
strand test are always recommended.
Step 1: Shampoo hair using
Simply Smooth Pre-Clean Purifying Shampoo, without irritating the scalp.
A second shampoo is necessary if excessive product is in the hair, or
medication is present. Do not condition.
Step 2: Dry hair 75%. Apply
Simply Smooth Designer Line Smooth and Straight Part 1 1/4-1/2 inch off
scalp. Starting in the areas with the strongest texture, apply with a
bowl and brush. Never overlap on areas previously relaxed with sodium
hydroxide, or any other straightener or relaxer, as breakage can occur.
Virgin application; apply mid-shaft, go back and apply 1/4-1/2 inch off
scalp, and finally apply to the ends. Retouch; apply 1/4-1/2 inch off
scalp, up to the line of demarcation, always careful not to overlap.
Step 3:
Allow to process up to 35 minutes on coarse, resistant hair, up to 25
minutes on normal hair, up to 20 minutes on hair treated with 10 or 20
volumes, and up to 15 minutes on highlighted hair. This product is not
intended for use on high lift tinted hair, double processed hair, or
excessively highlighted or stressed hair. Test strand always at 5 minute
intervals, as timing is only a guideline. Knot the hair, if it slips
out, process longer. Repeat until the desired reduction of curl is
achieved. Note; If the desired result is wash and wear straight hair,
the knot should not slip at the end of processing time. Be careful not
to over process hair.
Step 4:
Rinse a full 5 minutes to fully flush the hair. Do not condition. Choose
which method of Keratin neutralization to use according to the desired
end result:

Step 5a:Proceed by removing 75%
of the water from the hair. Spray the Simply Smooth Designer Line Part 2
Finishing Solution into the hair. Be sure to cover all the hair. Comb
blend. Dry 100%. Select the iron to cure the keratin neutralizer into
the hair. Select a temperature between 400-450 degrees. Note: Use lower
temperatures on fine or stressed hair. Use higher temperatures on
stronger, coarse textures. Pass the iron 3-5 times, looking for the 3
S's. Shine, Static, and Slip!
KERATIN NEUTRALIZATION FOR WASH &
WEAR STRAIGHT HAIR
Step 5b: Dry 100%. Use dryer on
medium heat. Flat iron the hair at a temperature between 400-425
degrees. Note: Use professional discretion. When complete, spray Simply
Smooth Designer Line Part 2 Finishing Solution into hair, comb blend,
wait 10 minutes, dry 100%; iron a second time to cure the Keratin Part 2
Finishing Solution into the hair. Pass the iron 3-5 times, looking for
the 3 S's. Shine, Static, and Slip!
Step 6:
Client must not shampoo their hair for 2 days (48 hours) and should
maintain with Simply Smooth XTEND Keratin maintenance system for best
results.
Warning: This non-refundable
product is strictly for professional use only. Should this product
accidentally come into contact with eyes, immediately wash our with
lukewarm water for 15 minutes. This product does not contain
Formaldehyde, but must be avoided by women who are pregnant or
breast-feeding. This applies to both salon professionals and clients
alike. Keep out of reach of children. This product along with Permanent
Waves, hair color and highlights should be used in a well-ventilated
area.
